Somfy’s WireFree™ motors run on a battery that is concealed in the roller tube or housing. That means no wires, and the optional rechargeable battery lasts a long time (up to a year in some cases). When the battery gets low, simply plug in your shades, blinds, or draperies, and charge them up again.
Wired motors are ideal for larger projects and provide a continuous power supply with no need to change batteries or recharge the motors. The motors in our Sonesse series are an excellent choice.
Both battery-powered and wired Somfy motors are ultra-quiet and can be controlled with a remote control, wall switch, or by integrating them into your existing smart home system.
